This privacy statement will inform you about how the Collaborative Programme in Additive Manufacturing (CPAM), a programme of the CSIR, collects, uses, and protects your personal information. It also outlines your rights as a data subject, including how you can access, correct, or withdraw consent regarding your data.

This Privacy Statement applies to the CPAM Website and the personal information you provide when submitting the contact form.
It covers the following information:
- Full names
- Email address
- Message

The personal information collected through the contact form is used solely for responding to your inquiries and providing support related to the CPAM programme.
Your data will not be used for marketing or promotional purposes.
The information may be processed for administrative purposes, such as confirming participation in the CPAM programme or addressing project-related queries.

The CPAM requires your Personal Information for the purposes indicated above, and your consent is mandatory to process the aforementioned Personal Information;
Should you choose not to provide the requested personal information, we may not be able to respond to your inquiry or provide the necessary support for CPAM-related matters.
Failure to provide accurate or complete personal information may result in delays or inability to process your request.

Personal information submitted through the contact form is stored securely on our systems.
Your information will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose of responding to your inquiry or project-related communication.
Once the information is no longer needed, it will be securely deleted or anonymized, in accordance with applicable data retention policies.

Your personal information may be accessed by authorized personnel involved in the CPAM programme for the purpose of responding to your inquiry or managing project-related matters.
We do not share your personal information with third parties unless required by law or necessary for the administration of CPAM.
Your Personal Information will not be transferred across the borders of South Africa.

You are encouraged to make immediate contact with the CSIR’s Privacy Office at any time if you are not comfortable or satisfied with the manner in which the CPAM is processing your Personal Information. On receipt of your objection, the CPAM will place a hold on any further processing until the cause of the objection has been resolved. If you are still not satisfied with such process, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator at POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za

PoPIA requires that all your Personal Information and related details, as supplied are complete, accurate and up to date. It will be your responsibility to advise the CSIR of any changes to the Personal Information, as and when these may occur.

You have the right at any time to ask the CSIR to provide you with the details of the Personal Information which the CSIR holds on your behalf; and/or the purpose for which it has been used, provided that such request is made using the standard Section 14 CSIR PAIA process, which can be accessed by downloading and completing the standard request for information form, housed under the CSIR’s Section 14 PAIA Manual which can be found on the CSIR’s website at www.csir.co.za.

You confirm that the Personal Information, provided to the CPAM is accurate, up-to-date, not misleading and is complete in all respects, save where same may change and then in such event, you undertake to advise the CSIR of these changes.
In providing the required Personal Information to the CPAM, you consent and give the CSIR permission to process and further process your Personal Information as and where required and acknowledge that you understand the purposes for which the Personal Information is required and for which it will be used.
